Duelist

Attack Speed auto-attacker — Stall / Rush / Crit snowball

Duelists use Attack Speed to rapidly auto attack. Duelist Mechanics: Stall, Rush, Debuffs, Crit, Shards.

The Duelist is Guildrun's Attack Speed class: rapid-fire auto attackers that snowball through fast hits. Duelists scale Attack Speed and lean on Stall, Rush, Debuffs, Crit, and Shards — every extra auto feeds on-hit effects and stacking payoffs. In Demo 0.5.7 they are late-fight monsters that start slow and detonate once Attack Speed and trigger counts build. Draft Duelists when you can protect them early and the shop offers Attack Speed, Rush, and Stall payoffs.

At a glance

Role
Attack Speed auto-attacker — Stall / Rush / Crit snowball
Strength
Compounding autos: more Attack Speed means more on-hit procs, Stall/Rush triggers, and late-fight damage
Weakness
Slow to come online — early burst can end a Duelist before Attack Speed stacking matters

How to play this class

Draft, shop, and formation notes for building around the class.

  1. Drafting

Duelists are a clock, not an opener — pair them with a front line that buys time. Rank B toward Attack Speed / Stall payoffs, then support their Rush uptime with an enabler.

  2. Shop priorities

Attack Speed and Duelist banners first, then Rush duration and Stall enablers so per-trigger payoffs scale. Crit is a strong secondary once autos are fast.

  3. Positioning

Mid or safe side where a Duelist can auto freely without eating the opening dive. Keep them in range of the pack but out of first contact.

What to buy first

  • Attack Speed items and Duelist banners (Precision / Fury / Outbreak)
  • Rush duration and Stall enablers to scale per-trigger payoffs
  • Crit pieces once autos are already fast
  • A frontline enabler so Duelists survive to stack

Signature picks

  • Irini

Attack Speed snowball carry whose Gathering Storm scales with Stall and Rush counts.

  • Nyx

Rush enabler that keeps Rush windows alive for the whole Duelist core.

  • Karsu

Frost-applying Duelist that adds control to the auto-attack plan.

  • Tilly

Warrior / Duelist flex that brings a sturdier body to the Attack Speed line.

Heroes

Heroes that start in the Duelist class (including dual-class picks).

Synergy Relics

Relics that explicitly reference this class or its signature keywords.

Tips

  • Judging a Duelist on fight one is a mistake — check fight five after Attack Speed has stacked.
  • If Rush rarely fires, fix Rush uptime before buying more raw damage; Duelist payoffs are per-trigger.

FAQ

What is the Duelist class in Guildrun?

Duelists are an Attack Speed class that rapidly auto attacks, scaling Stall, Rush, Debuffs, Crit, and Shards. Fast autos feed on-hit effects and stacking payoffs, making Duelists strong late-fight carries.

What are the best Duelist heroes in Guildrun?

Irini is the premier Attack Speed snowball carry, Nyx keeps Rush windows alive, Karsu adds Frost control, and Tilly flexes a sturdier Warrior/Duelist body.

What relics work with Duelists?

Attack Speed items, Duelist banners (Precision, Fury, Outbreak), and Rush/Stall enablers that scale per-trigger payoffs. Crit is a strong secondary once autos are fast.

Why are my Duelists weak early?

That's expected — Duelists start slow and scale with Attack Speed and trigger counts. Protect them through the opening fights and judge them after several combats, not on fight one.
