At a glance
Guide notes- Role
- Short-range Frost Mage — cleaves the nearest secondary target and buffs Mage/Duelist debuff loops
- Best for
- Formation boards with Pimenta (Lover pair) or Mage/Duelist Debuff tribal
- Strength
- Permafrost stacks and splash-Frost the nearest enemy to her target; Breezy turns every Debuff into AS/Magic for Mage/Duelist
- Weakness
- Short effective range — if she cannot stick near the fight, Permafrost does little

How to play
Decision notes for shops and formation — not a copy of the in-game panel.
Early
Draft with a plan for who stands in front of her. With Pimenta, Lover on either side is a real archetype. Alone, she needs a tank she can stand behind.
Mid
Breezy = Backup Mage/Duelist Debuff engine. Lover = permanent Defense for the hero directly in front (Pimenta bonus). Brisk = Permafrost bonus damage can Crit and she gains Crit on cast. Pick tribal, formation pair, or Crit Frost carry.
Late
Keep Debuffs flowing so Breezy pays. Stack Magic/Crit for Brisk. Do not relocate her away from the frontline pair mid-run without rewriting the plan.
Positioning
Just behind the tank (ideally Pimenta). Lover only works if someone occupies the tile directly in front every combat.

Ranks C → S
Draft a duplicate or use an eligible campfire event to rank up. Art below shows each rank portrait for Sal.

Rank C
Base kit — the active ability is equipped and the starting stat line applies.
- C — start with the active ability and base kit.
- B — lock one of three specialization paths.
- A / S — take the rank stat package, then draft class modifiers.
Abilities
Kit text from the Demo dump, plus short notes on how to play around each ability.
Active

Permafrost
activeSal empowers her attacks, causing them to also hit the nearest enemy to Sal's target, dealing 1 per 999 Magic bonus damage and inflicting 1 (+ 0% rank ) Frost. This ability stacks.
In practice: Empowered autos cleave Frost onto the nearest enemy to the target. Stand her where two bodies are always close — empty side lanes waste the cleave.
Passives

The Breezy
passiveWhenever a Mage or Duelist inflicts a Debuff, they gain 1 (+ 100% rank ) Attack Speed and 1 (+ 100% rank ) Magic. Backup.
In practice: Lean into Mage / Duelist / Debuff — itemize the stats this ability already scales with.

The Lover
passiveAt start of combat, Heroes directly in front of Sal permanently gain 1 Defense. Pimenta gains 0 more.
In practice: Lean into Defense — itemize the stats this ability already scales with.

The Brisk
passiveBonus damage from Permafrost can Crit. On Crit, inflict 1 (+ 0% rank ) Frost. On cast, Sal gains 0 (+ 1 per 50 Attack , + 33% Magic ) Crit.
In practice: Crit is the multiplier — lean Crit relics/items once the baseline kit is online.
Specializations
Rank B paths that reshape how Sal scales through a run.

The Breezy
Whenever a Mage or Duelist inflicts a Debuff, they gain 1 (+ 100% rank ) Attack Speed and 1 (+ 100% rank ) Magic. Backup.
When to pick: Take on Mage/Duelist Debuff boards — every Debuff proc speeds and Magics the tribe.

The Lover
At start of combat, Heroes directly in front of Sal permanently gain 1 Defense. Pimenta gains 0 more.
When to pick: Hard-commit formation with Pimenta (or another frontliner). Skip if you will not keep someone in the front tile.

The Brisk
Bonus damage from Permafrost can Crit. On Crit, inflict 1 (+ 0% rank ) Frost. On cast, Sal gains 0 (+ 1 per 50 Attack , + 33% Magic ) Crit.
When to pick: Crit Frost path for Sal as personal carry. Take when you can stack Crit and keep her attacking.

FAQ
Common questions when this hero shows up in the shop or draft.
Is Sal good in Guildrun?
Excellent with Pimenta/Lover or Debuff tribal. Awkward as a lonely long-range Mage — she wants to stand on the fight.
What class is Sal?
Mage. Role focus: short-range Frost applicator and formation support (especially with Pimenta).
What relics work with Sal?
Mage Precise/Elemental pieces, Arcane amplifiers, and Crit tools for Brisk.
How do you play Sal?
Park her behind a tank, stack Permafrost, and either run Lover+Pimenta, Breezy tribal, or Brisk Crit carry.
Tips
- Check the front tile every fight if you took Lover — empty means zero permanent Defense.
- Pimenta + Sal Lover is a package; drafting only one without the formation plan is half a build.
